Age is often seen as a barrier, but for Dr. Grish Mohan Gupta, it is merely a number. At the age of 84, when most people retire, Dr. Gupta set a new benchmark for lifelong learning by completing his MBA from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sambalpur in 2024.

A Journey of Innovation Born in 1941 in a small village in Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Gupta has always been a visionary. From returning to India in 1983 to support the nation’s defense needs to establishing ‘Global Engineers’, his life has been dedicated to the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ mission. He holds the Golden Book of World Record for his academic achievement and has been honored with two Presidential Awards for his innovations in defense and industry.

Why an MBA at 84? Dr. Gupta believes that to drive social change effectively, one must understand modern management. His goal is not personal accolade but to apply these skills to his NGO, ‘Centers of Excellence for Advance Research,’ ensuring that every rupee donated creates maximum impact for society. His journey proves that with willpower and wisdom, anything is possible.
